French virtuoso violinist Emmanuel Coppey — rising star of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) — makes his highly anticipated Hong Kong debut with the NHKP Baroque Chamber Orchestra, performing Bach’s violin concertos alongside masterworks by Jean‑Philippe Rameau, Michel Corrette, Jean‑Baptiste Lully, and more.
A Queen Elisabeth Competition semi‑finalist and First Prize winner of the 2023 Barbash Bach International Music Competition, Coppey performs on the rare 1735 Guarnerius violin from the Guttman Collection, celebrated for its radiant tone and extraordinary resonance. His artistry, praised for its elegance, depth, and expressive clarity, has captivated audiences across Europe.
This programme brings together the brilliance of French Baroque, the refinement of German craftsmanship, and the fire of Italian virtuosity — a vibrant journey through the golden age of Baroque music. A dazzling debut by one of France’s most exciting young violinists, this concert promises to be among the most unmissable cultural events of the season.
